Ingredients
- 1/4 c. slivered almonds
- 1 tbsp. + 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 head lettuce
- 1 head romaine
- 2 stalks minced celery
- 2 scallions
- 1 (11 ounce.) can mandarin oranges, liquid removed
Directions
- Toast almonds lightly. Heat sugar in fry pan at low heat (watch!). Toss almonds till coated. Cold, break and store at room temperature. Add in all dressing ingredients; shake and chill.
- Cut up lettuces in large bowl. Add in celery, scallions, oranges, and all the dressing. Toss. Add in almonds last.
