  • Ling Ling is a friend of mine and she gave me this recipe about 20 years ago. It's great for kabob meat, country style ribs, rack of rib, chops, tenderloin. anything pork. Guess what Good on chicken too! [] Spike is not the author. []
  • 1 sm Yellow onion, minced fine
  • 3 stalk of celery, minced fine
  • 2 x cloves, fresh garlic, chopped Half stick of butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 c. beef stock or possibly broth
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1 x splash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 pch of red pepper flakes Salt and pepper to taste.

Directions

  1. Cook onion, celery and garlic till tender. Add in the sugar and vinegar to the warm pan for a moment then add in the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 20 min. A good squeeze of fresh lime juice at the end makes it memorable.
  2. Cold and store in a glass jar in your refrigerator if not using right away.
