Grilled Pound Cake With Seared Banana/Pineapple Split Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Cake, 4 pcs, 2" thick
  • 1 x Pineapple, whole, sliced 1/4" thick
  • 4 x Bananas, sliced lengthwise
  • 8 ounce Unsalted butter
  • 8 ounce Heavy cream
  • 8 ounce Lowfat milk chocolate, minced
  • 1 gal Ice cream

Directions

  1. Brush melted butter onto both sides of poundcake pcs and allow to soak in. Peel pineapple and cut in half lengthwise, remove core. Cut into thin strips of 1/4 inch thickness. Peel banana, slice in half lengthwise.
  2. Prepare grill and wait till charcoal is completely ashen, a medium warm fire is perfect. While waiting for grill to heat prepare the warm fudge. On your oven range, pour cream into a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove pan from heat and add in chocolate, stir till smooth and reserve.
  3. When coals are ready clean grid of any debris from previous use and grease with spray oil. Place poundcake pcs on grid and cook till golden, 2-3 min. per side.
  4. Remove poundcake and place 1 piece onto a plate. Place pineapple and bananas on warm grid and cook 5-6 min on each side. Remove from grid.
  5. Place 2 slices of each fruit onto the poundcake, put 2 scoops of your favorite ice cream on top and pour a nice portion of the warm fudge over the ice cream. Enjoy!!
