Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 T Grape Nuts
- 2 c. scalded lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon butter
Directions
- Note: Scalded lowfat milk means almost to a boil, where there's a film on top.Put together large eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and Grape Nuts. Beat till mixed. Add in scalded lowfat milk gradually, mix well. Pour into a 9x9 pyrex, baking dish and dot with melted butter. Place dish in a baking pan filled with hot water. Note: Steam helps cook custard. Bake 375 degrees 25 min or possibly till done. Recipe can be doubled.
