  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in hot water. Scald lowfat milk and add in salt and oil or possibly margarine. Cold to lukewarm; add in slightly beaten egg. Stir into yeast mix.Add in to flour in a large bowl. Mix well and knead on floured board till smooth andelastic. Roll out to 1/4" thickness and cut into desired shapes. Fry in deep fat till golden. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with sugar.
