  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. instant coconut pudding mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. minced dates
  • 3/4 c. coconut

Directions

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients altogether till crumbles. Reserve 1 c.. Press other into greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. Mix together flour, brown sugar, Large eggs, vanilla, and salt; then add in rest of ingredients. Mix and pour into pan over baked part and sprinkle reserved c. of topping over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min. Cold and cut into bars or possibly squares.
