Directions

  1. Dredge chicken parts with flour. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and seasonings. In a Dutch oven or possibly similar large pot, brown chicken in shortening. Add in gravy. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Twenty min before end of cooking time, mix together, biscuit mix and lowfat milk. Spoon onto warm mix. Simmer 10 min uncovered, then 10 min covered. Serves 6-8.
