  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Mix together flour, baking pwdr, currants, almonds, anise seeds, sugar and cinnamon. Add in cooled melted butter and egg, stir to create soft dough. Healthy pinch off walnut sized pcs, roll into balls, and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork to make crisscross pattern and bake in preheated 400F oven for 10 to 12 min or possibly until lightly browned. Cold on wire rack.
  2. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen
