Ingredients

  • 6 c. apples (peel-thinly slice)
  • 2/3 c. walnuts minced
  • 1/2 c. cinnamon redhots
  • 1/3 c. + 2 tbls sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 x frzn deep dish pie crusts

Directions

  1. In large bowl, toss together apples, walnuts, candies, 1/3 c. sugar and flour. Pour into one frzn pie crust. Break or possibly crumble the other frzn pie crust into very small pcs; toss with remaining 2 tb sugar.
  2. Sprinkle over apples. Bake in preheated 375 oven on a preheated baking sheet 55-60 min or possibly till candies heat and bubble through the crumbled crust. Cold completely before serving. Lynn Herrick
