Ingredients

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 13 x 9 inch pan. Line bottom and sides with foil. Heat condensed lowfat milk and chips over low heat, stirring, till chips heat. Combine flour, soda and salt. Beat butter and sugar till creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla till light and fluffy. Beat in flour mix till dough just comes together. Reserve 1/2 c. dough.
  2. Press remaining dough into bottom and 1/2-inch up sides of pan. Pour butterscotch filling onto dough. Crumble remaining dough on top.
  3. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake till crust is golden, 30 to 35 min.
  4. Cold. Using foil, lift from pan and cut into squares.
