Directions

  1. Heat butter in medium saucepan. Add in onion; saute/fry till soft. Stir in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, dry mustard, and red pepper. Stir, simmer 15 min. Preheat broiler or possibly grill, grease rack. Place shrimp into warm sauce, cover completely.
  2. Let stand 15 min; wrap coated shrimp in a piece of bacon, thread shrimp on a skewer. Place on grill or possibly broiler pan. Cook 3 to 4 min. Turn, cook till bacon is crisp. Reheat sauce, serve separately. Yields 5 to 6 main dish or possibly 8 to 12 appetizer servings.
