About me
After looking to regain health post Lymes Disease at the far corners of the food spectrum, from macrobiotic to raw vegan, I have come back to health by firmly planting my feet in the middle of the road, where moderation and cooking with love are key to a balanced and happy life! I love to cook, I love to travel, I love to write. I am a retired advertising executive turned mom and textile artist and every day is an exciting adventure for me! Come join me in the middle of the road!
Cooking Influences
Both of my parents are immigrants to the United States. My mother from the UK, my father is Greek, but born in China and lived in many Asian countries before finishing school in France and coming to Brooklyn. My influence is decidedly eclectic and also based on the fact that my mother cooked very traditionally. I enjoy real food, but I also believe that the love and positive energy you put into cooking influences the health and well being of those who eat it! So, LOVE yourself! Love your Food and do so with passion and abandon!

- January 21, 2011Hi Alex3 replies
Yeah, CES is pretty cool. I've found I get significant traffic to my site from here because of how it works. I think the groups have potential but there isn't much activity on them (e.g., the group about food bloggers).- January 21, 2011Well, maybe we should set up a hearth and soul hop group! :) Thanks for the visit!2 replies
- January 21, 2011I'm not so sure how effective it would be. What's neat is that group postings will aggregate along with other postings to the daily CES email. What's not is that if you subscribe to lots of chefs and groups, only a select few actually make it to the email (just like foodblogs.com).1 reply
...and unlike facebook, there's no other notification if someone posts to one of your groups, so if it's not included in that email, you never know.
Actually, this would be a great discussion for the Bloggers Who Cook group http://cookeatshare.com/groups/bloggers-who-cook-69- January 21, 2011Well, send me an invite to join that group and then let's start the discussion! You obviously know a ton more than me on this subject, but it would be fun to start a group!
- January 14, 2011Hey Alex! Welcome to Cookeatshare! Nice to see you here. Melynda tells me you have her twittering. Now she wants ME to twitter, lol! I guess I should go find out how one twitters (I'm so behind everyone with all this stuff - I only joined Facebook 2 months ago...). Later! :o)1 reply
- January 14, 2011Brenda, Twitter is great for the food blogging. You dont have to tweet every thing you do, but it is good for sharing your foodie stuff! If you need help, email me! Also if you tweet and link up to the hearth and soul, we put you on a twitter list that then shares a daily newspaper of ALL your blog posts with the group. Its called the hearth and soul hop daily and it is very cool! Thanks for stopping by! :) Alex
