Delicious Oatmeal Cookies with a sweet surprise.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups butter, softened
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups Quick-Cooking Oats, uncooked
- 1 cup Old Fashioned Oats, uncooked
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 (7-ounce) packages Dark Chocolate Yogurt-Covered Raisins
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; slowly add sugars, beating well.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, beating until just blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed until completely blended. With a spoon, stir in the yogurt-covered raisins.
- Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet(s).
- Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Let cookes cool on cookie sheet(s) for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
