Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 c. stone grnd flour
- 3/4 c. oats (old-fashioned or possibly quick cooking), uncooked
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. golden brown or possibly dark raisins Or possibly 6 ounce. chocolate morsels
- 1/2 c. coarsely minced nuts (pistachios, almonds, walnuts or possibly pecans)
Directions
- In large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar till light and fluffy. Fold in vanilla and egg.
- Stir together flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Add in to mix and mix till blended. Add in raisins and nuts mixing well.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 8 to 10 min till golden. Transfer to racks to cold. Makes approximately 2 1/2 dozen cookies. (Freezes well.)
