Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 2 c. water
- 1 lrg red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp whole mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp whole cumin seeds
- Â Â salt to taste
Directions
- Bring the water and the 1 1/2 tbsp vinegar to boil. Add in the onion. Return to a boil, then simmer, uncovered, for 2 to 3 min. Drain the onion and let it cold. Stir the onion, 1 1/2 tsp vinegar, oil, seeds, and salt together.
- Chill if not using right away, but allow the onions to come to room temp before serving.
