Ingredients
- 1 lb raisins
- 1 lb neese's country sausage (tm)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. boiling water
- 3 c. flour
- 1 x egg
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cloves
Directions
- Separate sausage into small pcs and combine with raisins and allow to boil about four min. Let cold and add in soda. While mix cools, sift together flour, sugar, and spices. Sift into sausage mix and combine well. You may add in nuts and fruits from your favorite fruit cake recipe. Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hrs in a slow oven at 300F. You cannot believe how good it is!
