Lebanese Basic

Ingredients

  • Brown lentils [ boiled with 1.5 ltr of water] 1 kg
  • Rice 500 grams
  • Onion, peeled [fine brunoise fried golden 150 grams
  • Arabic spice mix 10 grams
  • White pepper 10 grams
  • Salt Taste
  • Corn oil 50 grams
  • Nutmeg, whole [grated] 1 pc
  • Onion, peeled [julienne fried golden brown for garnish 200 grams

Directions

  1. 1. Boil the lentils ½ cooked and add rice and bring back to boil.
  2. 2. Add the onion brunoise and peppers, salt and oil.
  3. 3. Mix slowly and cover it until well cooked.
  4. 4. Serve garnished
  5. with fried onion julienne.
