  1. Sift flour once, measure, add in baking pwdr and sift together three times.
  2. Cream butter thoroughly, add in sugar gradually and cream together till light and fluffy. Add in egg whites, 1/4 c. at a time, beating well after each addition. Add in flavoring and beat vigorously. Turn into two loaf pans 9x5x3 inches, that have been greased, lined with heavy paper and again greased.
  3. Bake in slow over (275 degrees F) 40 min; then increase heat lightly
  4. (325 degrees F) and bake 40 min.
