Ingredients

  • 500 gm (about 1 lb.) asparagus spears
  • 50 ml (a couple ounces) water dash of lemon juice
  • 60 gm (4 tbsp.) butter
  • 40 gm (3 tbsp.) Parmesan, grated

Directions

  1. Trim asparagus proportionately, peeling if required. Arrange neatly in a microwave dish. Add in water and lemon juice. Cover with micro proof plastic wrap.
  2. Cook 5-6 min till tender. Drain off water and lemon juice. Heat the butter, fold in Parmesan. Pour over asparagus and serve.
