Hamburger Buns Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 c. Scalded lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Crisco (The recipe called for lard)
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 pkt Yeast
  • 11 c. Flour (sifted)

Directions

  1. Makes a soft dough. Let rise. Pan off into hamburger buns ( The size depends on you) Let rise Bake at 10 min at 400 degree oven. Then 10 min in 350 degree oven. This makes 48 buns.
  2. You can cut the recipe in half or possibly do what I use to do when all 4 kids were home, make donuts. They are so good. You can frost them or possibly throw them in a brown bag with sugar an coat them.
  3. I have no idea where I got this recipe but it is Tried and True. Hope you will try both of them.
