Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar (plus additional for coating cookies)
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats (not instant)
- Confectioners' sugar for dusting the cookies
Directions
- In a large bowl with electric mixer, cream together the butter, butter and 1/2 c. of the granulated sugar till the mix is light and fluffy, beat in the flour and oats. Roll tsp. of the dough into balls and arrange the balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten the balls with the bottom of a small juice glass, dip in additional granulated sugar. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 min or possibly till pale golden brown. Cold cookies and dust with confectioners' sugar. Makes about 60 cookies.
