Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 pkt active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. butter chilled
- 1/2 c. cream cheese (4 ounce.) chilled
- 1 c. dry cranberries (3 ounce.)
Directions
- Heat lowfat milk in a small saucepan over low heat till temp. reaches 120-130 degrees. Grease 8" square pan; set aside. Combine flour, sugar, yeast and salt in large bowl. Cut butter and cream cheese into 1" chunks; add in to flour mix. Cut in butter and cream cheese with a pastry blender till mix resembles course crumbs. Add in cranberries; toss. Add in hot lowfat milk; beat 1 min or possibly till dough looks stringy. Place batter in prepared pan. Cover with towel; let rise in hot place about one hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 35 min or possibly till golden. Very pretty!
