  • NOODLE MIX
  • 3 pkt Ramen noodles crushed
  • 1 ct sesame seeds from the spice shelf
  • 2 pkt slivered almonds THE DRESSING
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bn green onions minced THE ASSEMBLY
  • 1 lrg head Nappa cabbage shredded The Noodle Mix (above) The Dressing (above)

Directions

  1. FOR NOODLE MIX: Combine and heat in 300F oven for approximately 15-20 min, watching which the mix does not get too brown. Cold. Save half for the next time you make the salad. It keeps well in a zip-lock bag.
  2. FOR THE DRESSING: Combine and shake well to blend.
  3. FOR THE ASSEMBLY: When ready to serve, combine cabbage, dressing, and noodle mix and toss.
  4. Variation:1 package skinless, boneless chicken breasts Lawry's Fajita bottled marinade
  5. Tenderize thick parts of the chicken breast. Coat each side of chicken breast with marinade and chill for several hrs. Saute/fry in frying pan for 3-5 min on each side. Slice thin and add in to salad while warm and mix through.
