Ingredients

  • 3-3 1/2 lbs. chicken pcs
  • 1 c. dairy lowfat sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon sweet basil
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, liquid removed
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 soup can sherry or possibly dry white wine
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste over chicken
  • 2 T cornstarch

Directions

  1. Arrange salt and peppered chicken in shallow baking dish so which pcs do not overlap. Mix undiluted mushroom soup, mushrooms, wine, cornstarch, lowfat sour cream, basil and garlic till blended. Pour over chicken, completely covering it. Dust with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs. Serve with wild rice or possibly Rice Almondine.
