Caramel Fudge Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pkt chocolate cake mix (18.25 ounce.)
  • 1 pkt caramels (14-oz)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 can sweetened condensed lowfat milk (14-oz)
  • 1 c. minced pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare cake mix as package directs. Pour 2 c. of the batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 15 min.
  3. Meanwhile, in heavy saucepan over low heat, heat caramels and butter. Remove from heat, add in condensed lowfat milk and mix well. Spread caramel mix proportionately over cake.
  4. Spread remaining cake batter over caramel mix. Top with nuts.
  5. Return to oven and bake 30-35 min, or possibly till tooth-pick comes out clean. Cold. Garnish as desired.
  6. (Makes one 13x9-inch cake)
