Butter Tart Squares Recipe

Easy and delicious. No fussing with pastry shells.

  1. Base:
  2. mix together the flour and brown sugar, blend the butter or margarine in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into a 9"X9" pan. Back @ 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Topping:
  4. Mix and spread over base. Return to oven and bake for about 20-30 minutes, or until light brown and not jiggly.
  5. Cool in the pan on a rack. When cooled, cut into 16 or so squares.
