  • 1 1/4 c. sugar divided
  • 1/2 c. butter softened
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 pkt frzn boysenberries - (12 ounce ea) thawed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat a 9- by 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 3/4 c. sugar, the butter, flour, lowfat milk, baking pwdr, and salt; mix well. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the boysenberries and remaining 1/2 c. sugar; mix well and spoon over the batter.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 min, or possibly till bubbly and golden brown. Serve topped with whipped cream or possibly over scoops of ice cream.
  5. This recipe yields 6 servings.
  6. Comments: During boysenberry season, substitute 3 1/2 c. fresh boysenberries for the frzn, or possibly use any of your favorite fresh or possibly frzn berries.
