Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. sugar divided
- 1/2 c. butter softened
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 pkt frzn boysenberries - (12 ounce ea) thawed
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat a 9- by 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine 3/4 c. sugar, the butter, flour, lowfat milk, baking pwdr, and salt; mix well. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the boysenberries and remaining 1/2 c. sugar; mix well and spoon over the batter.
- Bake for 40 to 45 min, or possibly till bubbly and golden brown. Serve topped with whipped cream or possibly over scoops of ice cream.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
- Comments: During boysenberry season, substitute 3 1/2 c. fresh boysenberries for the frzn, or possibly use any of your favorite fresh or possibly frzn berries.
