Beef Quesadilla Pie Recipe

  • 1 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1 c. salsa (I use garlic salsa)
  • 1/4 c. sliced ripe olives, liquid removed
  • 1 x (4.5 ounce.) can minced green chilies, liquid removed
  • 1 x (15 ounce.) package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 4 ounce cheddar cheese, grated (1 c.)

Directions

  1. Brown beef in a large skillet. Drain. Stir in salsa, olives and chilies.
  2. Place one pie crust on ungreased cookie sheet. Spoon hamburger mix proportionately onto crust to within 3/4" of the edge. Sprinkle cheese over beef. Moisten edge of crust with a little water. Put the other crust on top and seal the edges with a fork. Cut several slits in top to allow steam to escape.
  3. Bake at 425 degrees for 17-27 min or possibly till crust is golden brown.
  4. Serve with optional toppings-any or possibly all!
