  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
  • 1/4 c. apple jelly melted
  • 4 med apples cored, peeled, and sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to create a rectangle. Place it on a 10- by 15-inch rimmed baking sheet which has been coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. With your fingertips, gently spread the dough to cover the pan, pressing it up the edges to create a rim. If the dough is too sticky, lightly dust it and your hands with flour. Spread the melted apple jelly proportionately over the dough, then arrange the apple slices in a single layer.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the apples. Bake for 18 to 20 min, or possibly till the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and cold slightly in the pan on a wire rack. Slice and serve hot or possibly allow to cold before serving.
  4. This recipe yields 24 slices.
  5. Comments: For a sweeter touch, top with a glaze made of 1 c. confectioners' sugar and 2 Tbsp. water. Whisk till smooth then drizzle over the pizza while still hot. Any seasonal fruits like peaches or possibly pears and your favorite jelly can also be used.
  6. Yield: 24 slices
