Directions

  1. CRUST
  2. Combine flour and confectioners' sugar. Cut in butter till mix resembles coarse crumbs. Press into a greased 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 10-15 min or possibly till lightly browned.
  3. FILLING
  4. In a bowl, combine sugar, almonds and flour; stir in the remaining filling ingredients. Pour over crust.
  5. Bake at 350 for 25-30 min or possibly till center is almost set. Cold on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
  6. Yield: 6.5 dozen.
