Ingredients
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2/3 c. butter, melted and divided
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 bowl buttercream frosting (recipe follows)
Directions
- In medium bowl combine cocoa and baking soda. Blend 1/3 c. melted butter. Add in boiling water. Stir till mix thickens. Stir in sugar, Large eggs and remaining 1/3 c. butter. Stir till smooth. Add in flour, vanilla and salt. Blend completely. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 35 to 40 min or possibly till brownies pull away from sides of pan. Cold completely and frost.
