Ingredients

  • 2 x to 3 large cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 tsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp red chili pwdr
  • 1 tsp salt or possibly to taste
  • 1/2 x to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (Chili pequin)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 6 x individually cut rib eye steaks or possibly 2 lbs. steak

Directions

  1. In a small bowl mix all ingredients except steak; blend thoroughly to make a paste. Rub proportionately into all surfaces of steak. Wrap loosely in plastic and chill 4 to 8 hrs if time permits.
  2. Grill or possibly broil steak to desired doneness. To serve, slice thinly or possibly serve the individual steaks. I also use this as kabobs (cut meat in cubes) with vegetables of your choice using these brush on butters:
  3. Herb butter
  4. 1/2 butter or possibly margarine softened1/2 teaspoon grnd oregano or possibly basil leaves1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  5. Heat butter in microwave and add in herbs. Brush on veggies as they are grilling. Or possibly if desired it even hotter...
  6. Chili butter
  7. 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine softened1 teaspoon chili powder1/4 teaspoon grnd cumin
  8. Heat butter in microwave and add in chili and cumin. Brush on veggies as they are grilling.
  9. Combine with the meat recipe above and you've got a good meal on a stick.
