Pineapple Bistek Recipe

Bistek in Filipino means Beef Steak. Here's another great recipe from my Del Monte cookbook. Thanks Del Monte!

Ingredients

  • 150 g. beef sirloin, sliced tapa style
  • 1 pc medium onion, sliced into rings
  • 115 g (1 pouch) Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits (drain and reserve syrup)
  • marinade:
  • 5 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 1-1/2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 2 tsp of calamansi juice
  • pineapple syrup

Directions

1.
Marinate beef for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Drain and reserve marinade.
2.
Fry beef in 2-3 tbsp oil until light brown. Set aside. Retain 1 tbso of oil in pan.
3.
In the same pan, saute onion. Add the marinade and pepper to taste. Simmer for 2 mins. Ad beef and Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits. Simmer once.
