Directions

1.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and grated orange rind, set aside.
2.
In another bowl, stir together the sugar, melted butter, eggs, milk, yogurt and lemon juice.
3.
Add chopped walnuts and dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mix until well blended.
4.
Stir in the marmalade.
5.
Pour batter into the greased and floured 20 cm Bundt cake pan. Bake at 175°C for 45 to 60 minutes, until done (trick with the toothpick).
6.
Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then carefully take it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

    Very tasty. Unlike other marmalade cake recipe I really liked the use of spices to balance the sweetness of other ingredients. From looking at the posted picture I wonder if Laka, like me, had a problem getting the cake to cleanly Release from the pan. The only variations were sour cream instead of yogurt and orange juice instead of lemon juice, because that’s what I had on hand. Also to perform plastic surgery on the less than perfect top, I made a simple orange glaze frosting using powdered sugar, orange juice and orange zest.
