Ingredients

  • 1 pkg (2 1/4 t) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (110 F)
  • 1/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 cups milk (we used 1% plus a tad of cream)
  • 3 eggs
  • 8 T (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 1/2 cups (390 g) AP flour
  • 1/4 t baking powder
