Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean grnd beef
  • 3 x tbles. Flour
  • 1 x salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 x 4 tbles oil for frying
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 lrg onion sliced
  • 1 can mushroom, liquid removed (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Fines herbs.

Directions

  1. Mix the flour with the grnd beef in large bowl. Shape meat into medium size patties. Flatten patties between two sheets of waxed paper. Roll with rolling pin to about 1/2 " thick. (Will look like a thin steak)
  2. Brown steaks in fry pan on both sides. Remove to an oven going casserole dish. Saute/fry onion and mushrooms in fry pan till onions are soft. Add in 1/2 c. warm water and beef broth. Pour over steak. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 min. Serve with rice, egg noodles or possibly mashed potatoes.
