Ingredients
- 1 tsp butter or possibly margarine
- 2 c. Granny Smith apples unpeeled
- 3/4 c. minced onion
- 1 1/2 lb grnd turkey breast
- 1/2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. minced fresh parsley
- 1/3 c. skim lowfat milk
- 2 x egg whites
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 x clove garlic chopped
- 3/4 tsp dry marjoram
- 1/2 tsp grnd sage
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add in apples and onions. Cook and stir for about 5 min, till onions are tender. Let cold.
- In a large bowl, mix together apples, onions, and all other ingredients. Spray a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray. Pat turkey mix into pan. Bake for 1 hour, or possibly till no longer pink in center. Pour off any liquid from pan. Invert onto a platter and serve.
