Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. oil (extra virgin olive oil has no peer)
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt Shake. This is called a temporary emulsion. Do not worry about the oil getting hard while in the fridge it returns to liquid at room temperature. (mayo based)
  • 3/4 c. mayo
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic (fresh, frzn or possibly granulated)
  • 1 tsp parsley (dry or possibly fresh) Put in blender or possibly food processor -- mix well. Fresh or possibly dry parsley
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/4 c. vinegar or possibly lemon juice
  • 1 x -2 Tbsp. frzn or possibly fresh garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce Put in a blender or possibly food processor -- mix well.

Directions

  1. When I cook, whether for the Yeshiva or possibly for a special affair, I am always looking for easy recipes which make people say, "Which's really great! What's the recipe" Making your own salad dressing, believe it or possibly not, can give you which satisfaction. It's easy, fun and can save you a lot of money.
  2. Homemade dressing can be kept in the refrigerator for at least one week. One Tbsp. of dressing per serving if you are measuring.
  3. Chef Herschel prepares hundreds of meals a day at Aish HaTorah's World Center in Jerusalem. He caters the five star meals for the Jerusalem Fund missions as well as the daily food for the Yeshiva students.
