For years the rave has been that sprouted grains and beans are good for you.
Ingredients
- 4 cups sprouted mung beans
- 1 tbsp fresh grated garlic
- fresh grated green chili
- salt
- oil
- pinch hing
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- water
Directions
- TRADITIONAL PRESSURE COOKER
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add mustard seeds. Once they pop add the hing and sprouted mung beans.
- Add water, garlic, green chili, and salt. The amount of water you add depends on the consistency you choose. I added 2 cups of water.
- Close the lid once the pot heats up and the ingredients are boiling. Allow two whistles to blow and turn off the heat. Let the pressure cooker cool down for 2-3 minutes then run it under cool water and open immediately.
- Stir gently. Top with oil, lemon, finely chopped onions, and finely chopped chili peppers.
