Hot Sweet Pickles Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 gal dill pickles
  • 5 lb sugar
  • 1 bot Tabasco Sauce

Directions

  1. Empty pickles into a bowl, (don't use a metal one). Clean out and wash the pickle jar and dry which outfit good. Wipe pickles clean and cut in slices, crossways. In the clean pickle jug, layer the pickle slices, then sugar, then Tabasco, and so on, till all is in the jug. Cover and let set about 3 days. Be sure the pickles and jug are clean before layering.
  2. It really does all fit!
  3. Patsy Waltrip makes this same recipe, but adds 13 - 18 sliced garlic cloves. Patsy Waltrip layers 15 - 18 sliced garlic pods with the pickle slices, and puts up the pickles in several jars after 5 days.
