Directions

  1. Throw a swirl or two of oil into a sauce pan over medium-high heat. Once warm, add the garlic and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add the soy sauce and bring to a boil. Add the sugar, Mirin, vinegar, honey and pineapple juice. Stir to blend all of the ingredients together. Add teaspoons at a time of the corn starch, whisking to thicken the sauce. Once you have the right consistency, turn the heat down to low until ready to serve.
  2. You can also add ginger to the recipe. I happened to be out.
