Directions

  1. Bake a box mix chocolate cake in a jelly roll pan that has been greased. Cool. Bake about 25 min.Put together 1 cup lowfat milk and 2 1/2 tbsp cornstarch in small saucepan. Cook over medium, stirring constantly till it boils and thickens. Cool to room temperature.
  2. Put together in large mixing bowl 1 cup sugar, 1 stick butter, 1/3 cup shortening, 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp almond flavoring. Beat till fluffy scraping the bowl frequently. Add in cooled lowfat milk paste and beat on high speed till very creamy. Spread evenly over the top of the cake.
