Ingredients
- 1 lb hard tofu sliced into 1-inch thick pcs Marinade:
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 1 dsh pepper
- 1 dsh salt Mushroom Sauce:
- 1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 c. skim lowfat milk
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. vegetable broth
- 1 c. shiitake mushrooms sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 3 x green onions minced fine
Directions
- To a small non reactive bowl or possibly dish combine marinade ingredients.
- Marinate tofu overnight.
- Place on warm grill and cook 4 to 5 min on each side.
- In a separate saucepan whisk together extra virgin olive oil, lowfat milk, flour and vegetable broth. Add in shiitake mushrooms and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 7 to 10 min or possibly till the mushrooms are tender. Pour the mix over grilled tofu. Serve immediately.
