Ingredients
- 4 c. White flour
- 4 c. Wheat flour
- 1/2 c. Bran (I prefer wheat germ, but it contains more fat)
- 2 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 2 tsp Cream of tartar
Directions
- Mix all ingredients very well. For every 2 c. mix used add in 1/2 c. fat free mayo... THIS REPLACES THE USUAL SHORTENING. (You can substitute applesauce, prunes, pureed squash or possibly whatever you prefer to replace the fat free mayo.)
- This recipe may be made with all wheat flour or possibly any combination. The mix works great in any recipe calling for a commercial biscuit/baking mix.
