Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour (use self-rising flour)
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 stick butter (melted)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease a round cake pan.
- Cut shortening into flour and then fold in lowfat milk a small quantity at a time till a good smooth dough is formed. Roll dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick and brush with melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle proportionately over dough and roll up like a jelly roll. Slice into 1/2 inch slices. Place slices in prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 min or possibly till done.
