My hubby says I make the best beans around.I usually have to take the beans off the table,cause he'll eat until he makes himself sick.

Directions

  1. Sort and wash beans,and soak them over night,or at least 8 hours,with the first 6 cups of water.Drain,the next am,and then put them into the crock pot,with the second 6 cups of water,ham,celery,onions,bell peppers.Set on low and cook for 8 hours. With the last 1/2 hour,add salt.
  2. Delicious with corn bread.

    This sounds really good and I love lima beans. I have never added in green pepper, I will have to try it that way. Thanks for sharing this.
