Cream Cheese Fudge Pie Recipe

Combines two favorites -cheesecake and chocolate - in a deep dish pie. This recipe will make individual servings if you cut rounds of pie crust to fit into a cupcake pan and fill. Adjust baking time.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 c Suger, divided
  • 4 lg Eggs, divided
  • 6 T Butter, melted
  • 1/3 c Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 t Vanilla Extract, divided
  • 1 Prepared Deep Dish Pie Crust
  • or
  • 1 Prepared Regular Pie Crust - rolled out to a 12" round
  • or
  • 1 Prepared Deep Dish Pie Crust
  • 1 Deep Dish Pie Plate (very lightly oiled)
  • or
  • 1 Cupcake Pan (very lightly oiled)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degs.
  2. Combine cream cheese and 3/4 c sugar. Beat on medium speed w/ mixer until creamy. Add 1 egg and 1/2 t vanilla extract and beat well. Set aside.
  3. In separate bowl combine melted butter, cocoa, 3/4 c sugar, 3 eggs and 1/2 t vanilla extract.
  4. Pour chocolate mixture into prepared deep dish pie shell. Add cream cheese mixture by spoons full then swirl with a knife into chocolate to make it look pretty.
  5. Bake 1 1/2 hrs. Turn off oven but do not remove pie. Let cool in oven for 1 hr before removing.
  6. Serve warm.
