Directions

  1. Heat butter in small skillet. Add in onions, salt and sugar. Saute/fry till soft and golden brown. Set aside to cold.
  2. Blend Bisquick, salt, egg product, cottage cheese and lowfat milk.
  3. Preheat oven to 425F. Spray an 8x8x2 baking pan; bottom, sides and corners.
  4. Transfer dough to the pan and spread and shake to level. (Do not overwork the dough with spatula when evening it's surface.) Sprinkle the onions on top of the dough. Bake at 425 degrees for about 20 min. Serve hot.
  5. NOTES : What a treat! Pan bread topped with caramelized onion. Great with soup or possibly salad. Serve it hot. It's similar to focaccia and toughens as it cools.
