Chocolate Cake For A Crowd Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 c. Soft margarine or possibly butter
  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Cocoa pwdr
  • 1 bag baking pwdr
  • 2 ct sour lowfat milk, or possibly lowfat sour cream, (each has 170 gr or possibly about 6 fl. ounce.)
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla essence
  • 3 ounce Bitter sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Cocoa pwdr
  • 3 Tbsp. Liquid, (liqueur or possibly lowfat milk or possibly orange juice or possibly water)

Directions

  1. Yield: About 25-30 small slices (Linda, make this in a square pan, cover with something to keep moist, and frost on party day. Then put in paper c.)
  2. 1. Beat butter and sugar till white and airy. Add in one egg at a time while beating.
  3. 2. Alternately add in dry ingredients or possibly sour lowfat milk while beating. Add in vanilla.
  4. 3. Pour into greased square pan and bake at medium for about 30 mins.
  5. Frosting
  6. Yield: sufficient for square pan or possibly two layered 22 cake.
  7. Put everything in a small pan and cook over very low heat till everything is blended. Cold a little and spread on cake.
