  1. Method:1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. 2. Heat butter or possibly margarine in a large saucepan. Remove pan from heat; stir in oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt till a dry, crumbly dough forms.
  3. Press about 2/3 of the dough into the bottom of 9 inch square pan, making a hard even layer.
  4. 3. Spread cherry pie filling in the crust, and sprinkle with remaining crumb mix.
  5. 4. Bake for 40 to 45 min, till top is lightly browned. Serve hot or possibly at room temperature.
  6. Makes 1 crumble
  7. This dessert is great served hot with vanilla ice cream.
